The temple is located on the Tonle Sap and has been divided into 3 parts. Each part were constructed at various time with the first ones constructed in the 7th century. Sandstone was used to build the temple and there are many places to explore. However, tourists are advised to stay on the paths as there is still a lot of unexploded mines still located in the area.
