Tour Description
On this tour we’ll make the long drive out to Koh Ker temple. When you get there you’ll see that the journey was well worth it. Koh Ker is one of the most unique and remote temples in Cambodia and it’s around 120km from Siem Reap town. It’s not possible to visit the whole area as parts still haven’t been demined and some parts are hidden deep into the jungle.

Due to the unique shape of the seven tiered pyramid, many historians believe that the Angkor kings had some extraterrestrial help. Their main reason for this belief is the fact that it looks nearly identical to Inca temples built 1000s of kilometres away in South America.

Moreover, we’ll go to see Beng Mealea temple which is located around 40km from Siem Reap. It was built during the same time as Angkor Wat on the main highway to Kompong Svay. Beng Mealea is a Hindu temple and has been mostly left unrestored. It doesn’t get many visitors due to its location from Siem Reap and it’s a great place to explore without being surrounded by thousands of other tourists.
